Our collaboration with Brujos and Root + Branch, is an ode to the glorious Pacific North West.

Last September, thanks to Anthony’s encouragement, we ventured out to Oregon and Washington to participate in our first-ever hop selection at Yakima Chief, and in the course of our travels met Sam from Brujos, whose singular vision for his brewery we thoroughly admire and enjoy.

Having just returned from this year’s hop selection, we wanted to brew something to mark the occasion. And so, we made a Sour Double IPA with three distinctly PNW ingredients:

1) Marionberry, which is a particularly delectable variety of Blackberry developed at Oregon State Univeristy, 2) Comice Pear, which is Oregon’s official state fruit, and is downright mouthwatering, and 3) Citra and Simcoe hops, which we hand selected in Washington courtesy of Yakima Chief.
