Pseudocereal, our Little IPA collaboration with Glynwood
Glynwood has been helping to build a resilient and equitable food systems here in the Hudson Valley for over 25 years. With their Grains & Staples program they are working to promote regenerative, regional grain farming through research, awareness raising, and education. We were excited to brew a collaborative beer together - made with 100% New York State grown ingredients.
Pseudocereal is brewed with buckwheat from Gianforte Farm in Casenozia New York, barley and raw wheat from Hudson Valley Malt and it's hopped with New York Cascade from Skaneateles Hop Farm.
We milled the raw buckwheat grains outside earlier this summer before lightly toasting it and adding it to the kettle. Later, we were delighted to find a patch of buckwheat growing out in our back garden. Just as it began to flower, Pseudocereal was ready to drink!
Try it on tap in the tasting room or at the one of the many wonderful fundraising events that Glynwood hosts on their farm in Cold Spring, New York.
