Bar Back / Service Team Support (P/T, Seasonal)

Hudson Valley Brewery is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Bar Back / Service Team Support Member to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting our bartenders, ensuring smooth operations in our busy tasting room, and assisting with essential back-of-house duties. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, so the ability to stay on your feet and handle multiple tasks is essential. The hourly pay for this position is $18/hr.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collecting and washing glassware to ensure the bar area is well-stocked

  • Resetting chairs and cleaning tables between customers

  • Running food and bussing tables to maintain an efficient service flow

  • Cleaning bathrooms, mopping floors, managing waste collection and disposal, and maintaining overall cleanliness of our tasting room and outdoor seating areas

  • Assisting with changing kegs, restocking supplies, and maintaining inventory

  • Assisting bartenders with all opening and closing duties

  • Performing warehouse duties, including order fulfillment through our shipping program

  • Managing inventory and organization of merchandise

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed

  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent movement

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized space

  • A positive attitude and willingness to be a team player

Kitchen Staff (P/T to F/T)

Hudson Valley Brewery is seeking reliable and hardworking Kitchen Staff members to join our team. In this role you’d be working alongside our Chef running kitchen operations, from prepping ingredients to working the line during service. We are looking for individuals with prior kitchen experience who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality food to our guests. The hourly pay for this position is $20-$25.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working the line during service to ensure timely and consistent food preparation

  • Assisting with food prep, including knife work, portioning, and cooking ingredients

  • Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment, tools, and workstations

  • Washing dishes and ensuring the kitchen stays clean and organized

  • Following all food safety and sanitation guidelines

  • Assisting with inventory management and stocking supplies as needed

  • Supporting overall kitchen operations to maintain efficiency during busy shifts

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior kitchen experience required

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-volume service

  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Tasting Room Server / Counter Staff (P/T to F/T)

Hudson Valley Brewery is looking for enthusiastic Tasting Room Servers / Counter Staff to join our front-of-house team. As the face of the brewery, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming and educational experience for our guests. Whether you're behind the bar serving beer, at the counter taking food or retail orders, or assisting with events, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that ensures smooth service and a memorable visit for every guest. The hourly pay for this position is $13/hr plus tips.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing safe and responsible alcohol service to all guests

  • Taking and fulfilling food orders

  • Pouring and serving beer at the bar 

  • Acting as event staff for on-site and off-site brewery events, assisting with setup, service, and breakdown

  • Rotating between positions to support various front-of-house needs

  • Ensuring all guests feel welcome, informed, and excited about our beer

  • Handling cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently

  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace throughout service

  • Educating customers on Hudson Valley Brewery’s beer library, brewing process, and new releases

  • Communicating with management and fellow servers about inventory updates and sold-out products

  • Staying up to date on upcoming beers, current releases, and future brewery projects

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have reliable transportation

  • Prior experience in hospitality, food service, or a brewery setting is a plus

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
