Over two thousand miles and six hours due west of New York by way of airplane — amid the Cascade Mountain Range that springs upward from the surrounding landscape with an unreal geologic force — Yakima Chief Hops has been working to connect brewers from across the world with the hop farms responsible for growing all of the aromatically soaked varieties that we have come to love.

For the first time since our opening — along with our friends at Root + Branch and The Test Brewery — we traveled out to Washington to participate in this years’ hop selection, and the offerings courtesy of Yakima Chief were just as beautiful as we’ve always imagined — the Citra as bright and clear as a neon lemon sunbeam, the Simcoe like drinking an over-ripe drippy pineapple through a juniper straw, the Mosaic like sniffing lavender blossoms in an enchanted blueberry field at twilight — truly magical stuff!

We’re beyond thankful to Yakima Chief for granting us access to such high-caliber materials, and to Root + Branch for connecting and encouraging us to make the trip — here’s to many more!
