Fountains: A New Botanical Farmhouse Ale

Bottle of Fountains getting labeled.

Fountains is the latest in our series of Botanical Sour Farmhouse Ales. It was brewed back in 2019 with local wheat and barley from Hudson Valley Malt, and spontaneously fermented in our foudres.

After about 18 months in oak, we blended select barrels and conditioned Fountains on top of a few hundred pounds of fresh apricots from Montgomery Place Orchards in Red Hook and some wildly aromatic lemon verbena from Tallie Farms in Hurley, New York. After quietly resting in the bottle for almost two years, Fountains is a delightfully spritzy summer farmhouse ale.

Sour Farmhouse ale brewed with local apricots and lemon verbena and aged for over a year in oak barrels.

Tastes like honey dipped apricots, Tom Collins cocktail, lemon lime spritz.
