Events at Hudson Valley Brewery: Our newly renovated Gathering space

Between Beacon's Main Street and the Fishkill Creek, you’ll find the building that is the home to our brewery. After years of dedicated restoration, we opened our new tasting room inside the historic 19th-century factory building this past Spring. This winter, we’ve completed construction on the second floor of our tasting room, a new space that we’re very excited to share with you all.

The structure has a rich history dating back to the 1820s. Initially, it was constructed as a depot building - a center for distributing goods between the railroad and the textile factories that stretched along the Fishkill Creek. Since then, it has had many other lives and housed industries of all kinds, including a machine shop, an aluminum row-boat factory, and a fabrication facility.

When we began construction in 2015, the building had been abandoned for over a decade. It was nearly invisible, covered by weeds and vines. The roof had collapsed, and all the utilities had been removed. Those who visited us back then would need to climb a ladder and traverse expansive holes in the floor in order to get a peek. The task of bringing this structure back to life was a daunting one, but even back then, we could see it was the perfect place for our brewery to grow.

The second-floor space is now thoughtfully modernized and renovated while honoring its original purpose. Historic details tell the stories of the past. Original 40’ trestle beams span the space, showcasing the craftsmanship of another era. These elements not only provide a sense of history but also create a warm, inviting atmosphere and a wide-open floor plan.

To the east, you'll find beautiful views of Mount Beacon and the Hudson Highlands. To the west, you’ll see the historic east end of Beacon's mile-long Main Street. It's a backdrop that is timeless but also ever-changing. This space can accommodate up to 100 guests, giving us the flexibility to host both intimate gatherings and larger celebrations.
