In the Valley: Beacon In Spring

Spring is without a doubt one of our favorite times to spend in our hometown. Our home base, Beacon is located just 60 miles North of NYC, and a great place to spend the day or weekend! We've put together an insider's list of some of our favorite local spots to enjoy on your next visit.

Hike Mount Beacon

One of our favorite places to spend time outdoors during the spring months, is atop Mt. Beacon. Located walking distance from the brewery, Mt. Beacon is the gateway to the Hudson Highlands and connects to lots of trails. The main trail entrance is located off Route 9D, find a trail map here and plan your hike!

Visit Beacon Farmers Market

Sunday mornings wouldn’t be complete without stopping by the Beacon Farmers Market. With vendors that rotate through the seasons, the farmers market is a great way to get your groceries for the week!

Bike to Scenic Hudson’s Long Dock Park

Beacon is a wonderful city to explore whether by foot or on a bicycle. Our staff loves bike rides through the city once the weather begins getting warm. We love riding down to the river and checking out Long Dock Park.

Pizza & Beer at Hudson Valley brewery

The perfect way to end the night is stopping by the brewery for some pizza and beer! Our friends Groundlings pizza truck are serving wood fired pizza every Thursday - Sunday!
