Hike Mt. Beacon

The Hudson Valley is home to many beautiful hikes, arguably the best is just a short distance from the brewery. Hiking the 5.9 mile Mt. Beacon loop is one of our favorite things to do in the city. Head up with a group for a picnic at sunset or take a solo trek at sunrise. There’s tons of different trails to explore all over Mount Beacon and the Fishkill Ridge. Find out where to hit the trail here.

Long Dock Park

Long Dock Park is located just steps from the Metro North Beacon train station and is one of our favorite local spots to hang out and relax during these warm summer months. Views of the Hudson river and lots of wildlife can be spotted all along the trails between the train station, Long Dock Park and Denning’s Point. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, you can rent a kayak from Mtn. Tops Outfitters and explore the the Hudson River and the Fishkill Creek Inlet. More information about Long Dock can be found here.

The Greenway Trail

The Greenway Trail is a great way to spend some time seeing the natural beauty of Beacon and the surrounding areas. If you hop on the trail at the brewery and head north you’re only a couple hundred feet from the Roundhouse waterfall. If you head south on the trail it will lead you toward Madam Brett Park, Denning’s Point and eventually will connect to Long Dock Park. Parts of the trail are still being developed, so you’ll have to use the road here and there during your trek.
