Those in the know, know: Snallygaster is the District’s biggest & beastliest beer festival, bar none. And on October 14 the merry monster makes its triumphant return to DC for its 11th year as a rollicking tribute to the wonderful world of craft beer. Festival goers can expect a mind-boggling selection of no fewer than 350 highly sought-after brews on draft from 175+ of the finest American and international producers set against a backdrop of local food trucks and two stages of live music.
Brought to you by the minds behind DC’s Bluejacket, ChurchKey, The Sovereign, Shelter and more, this is far and away the biggest event of the year for beer geeks of every stripe. Stay tuned right here (and for pete's sake, join the mailing list) as we unleash up-to-the-minute announcements and introduce the brews, brewers, bands, food trucks, and the rest of the myriad beast deets.

It's the final weekend for our beloved parklet, and we're hoping to make it the biggest of the season:
One of our all-time favorite breweries, @hudsonvalleybrewery, is taking over all 12 of our taps! Justifiably famous for their sour and funky stuff, HVB will showcase the full spectrum of their genius, including some finely-tuned lager, hoppy goodness, barrel-aged dark stuff, and everything in between. This is an event years in the making, and we couldn't be more proud and grateful to host them. 🍻
Playing in the parklet we'll have our very own stellar barista, Josh Rosenmeier, aka JK Vanderbilt--just him, his guitar, and his extremely talented voice. We've been gently prodding Josh for months to get back on the live music horse, and we are thrilled that he's doing it right here at the shop. Come show some love to one of the most talented and big-hearted people we know. 🎙️
And to top it all off, we'll have local authors Philip Vondra and Jason Friedman here to introduce their new book, Beer Hiking New York State. Each carefully selected hike in this book leads you through a stunning natural landscape and ends near a brewery or a brewpub where a local craft beer awaits you--and of course, HVB is one of these featured spots! ⛰️
Beers will be tapped by 6pm, with JKV kicking off music at 6:30. And our authors will be here throughout the evening to talk all things hiking and beer.
Swing by The Beer Keep for several exclusive draft, can and bottle offerings on Friday, October 13 at Noon!
